Welcome The Best Indonesian Students, The Next Indonesian Leader

Welcome the best Indonesian students, the next Indonesian leader
These provoking words has welcome us written on large banners in the entrance and inside the hall room where the programs are held or even knitted on polo shirt. I am so honored and yet fully aware of great responsibility on my shoulders.
What, Why, and How to LPDP
It is said that “if we don’t know then how to love”. I felt it was true because by knowing we will gain sense of belonging. The sense of belonging then will unite us all as one, even though we come from different interest and places. The union will help us to contribute better to Indonesian society where we come from.
LPDP was formed from the initiative from three Indonesia Minister: Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Religion. The fund mainly comes from 20% Regional Budget for education post. It is then used for infestation. After a while, the profit and interest now is ready to be used to support Indonesian human resources development. There are three ways of development which is to increase number of doctors or PhDs, support research of technical subject related project, and restoration of broken school buildings. To note that it is society’s money will be used to send us to higher study. We must then return to Indonesia to build our beloved county.
Now
Currently, it emphasis on subjects of food, sustainable energy, economic development, organization management, health, social and religion, and culture.
Before LPDP releases the students to attend their study, LPDP gave leadership training to strengthen moral, culture, and character aspects of every individual. To perform “Indonesia” and be Indonesian ambassador to abroad. After that, LPDP will not hide their view from its students, but will continue to monitor their wellbeing during their study period.
Future
LPDP will try to explore ways to give free education as early as high school. There might be a possibility of integrated undergraduate and graduate scholarship program in the future. Such visionary goal needs appreciation and support not only from government, society, but also from its alumni. Upon alumni home return, LPDP has prepared re-orientation to plant strong root in alumni’s heart before contribute to Indonesia society.
Lastly, I would love to quote our founding father’s wisdom words, Soekarno: “give me an old 1000 people, I will undoubtedly take out Semeru’s root. Give me 10 youth who love this country, I will shake the world.” Imagine if now LPDP has 1000 youth, surely Indonesia will become future leader!
